An Original 1950's Panda Bear Clock with Luminous Eyes and Hands! Box Stamped "BROWNIE" In Rare Boxed and Like New Condition! Is in excellent mechanical condition and keeps good time. Eyes and Tail move smoothly runs quietly. I really don't think this item was ever used much if at all (check out the original power plug, usually shows signs of use with grime dirt and discoloration from over the years on the older items) - ... has been safely boxed away for years! Box is in great condition showing some minimal wear and slight aging in colors. The back is stamped with the following: PANDA BEAR CLOCK ALLIED MFG CO - SEATTLE, WASH. 115 volts - 60 cycles - 5 watts Model B-1 I am not an expert at dating these by any means but on web site the clocks labeled with Seattle Wash are dated from late 1940's - 1950's This has the plastic back which were produced in the 50's. I have a hard time believing this is from the 50's being in such great condition! A similar aged one of these (the actual Kit Kat Model) is in the Kit-Kat's museum, which also can be found on Kit-Kat's site! Various Box Markings: "ALWAYS MOVING ... Some questions have come up and I am adding these to the listing for all to be aware, a interested party has inquired about the rear screw not being original to the clock - I am not an expert and did not know but they seemed to think it has been added. During a closer inspection I found w they were probably two tabs on the rear that helped keep the back in place which supports a screw being added to hold back in place. I missed this because it is barely noticeable and found it after a very close inspection of the rear housing. Although this is not visible from front or detract from the normal view or operation, this needs to be mentioned so that the winner does not get any surprises. (I did not know this at time of listing and am unable to modify original listing with current bids but can add as a comment ) I attempt to be honest as possible but not being an expert things like this can get overlooked. No other problems have come up or found. This was purchased from an antique store in the same condition as it is currently and I do not have any history on it beyond that.
