Vintage Tom's Glass Jar Lid for Peanuts This is an excellent find. It is an old "Tom's Peanut Jar Lid" with a Red Top and Tom's imprinted on the side of the red top. There are no chips or cracking, there may be some fading only due to age. The measurement across the top of the lid is 9" (this is from one end of the lid to the other going across the top of the lid), the inner measurement is 5 1/2" this is the part where the lip is located, the outer measurement from underneath is 7 1/8", so I'm saying that the jar this should fit or would require a 71/4" opening for the lid. This is an excellent find from an estate sale if you need a lid for your Tom's Jar this would be the one. The winner of this auction will pay $8.00 for Shipping and Handling.
