Wow, take a look at this rare youth racing cap! The simple skull stitched cap has thatclassic aviator look. The cap was designed to reduce wind resistance and the goggles were for better visibility at top speeds. You can just see some kid ready to take on the forces of air and flight. He doesn’t care that these goggles are for looks only! The cap is constructed from soft red and black buffalo plaid flannel with an inset of soft army green corded fabric. The goggles are punched in on a separate piece of fabric that is not only sewn to the hat, but also attached with black metal shoelace grommets. The funky-shaped goggles are made out of galvanized tin metal with celluloid lenses. A metal buckle and leather strap keep the cap snug. There is a “large” size tag sewn inside.
