Vintage Pewter Owl Sculpture by W. Gerard

Named "Frolic" from the 1970's

Up for auction today is a very detailed pewter OWL sculpture by WB Gerard/William J. Gerard. Known for his metal sculptures, they were sold under the name of "Pewter Treasures" from 1978 to 1995. Born in Manhattan (Hell's Kitchen) in 1930, the pewter medium allowed for more detailed and three dimensional objects. After his death in 1995, Pewter Treasures was continued by his sons until production tapered off and ceased completely in 2003.

This piece is 3 7/8 inches high and 3 1/4 inches wide. It rocks back and forth. Handmade and hand-signed, "W. Gerard, Pewter, FROLIC" In excellent vintage condition.

Please review all pictures carefully prior to bidding, since all of my listings are final sale. Your sculpture will be delicately wrapped and shipped via USPS Priority Mail. You will pay the exact shipping cost that I do. I too buy on Ebay and never inflate my shipping charges.
