My wife found this at an estate sale in Connecticut about 10 years ago and had to have it. It's been stored in a roll since then so it doesn't really want to lay flat. But it's a very interesting photo of what seems to be an American Armed Services group from World War 2. But I haven't had a lot of luck with research, but is what I have learned (I've seen these facts reported on several website so I believe them to be true): The Panora negatives were deposited with the DPA in 1986 by the managing director of the firm who had sold his business but retained the negatives. They date from 29 September 1968 to 30 July 1985. Earlier negatives have not survived. (Which means my photo no longer has a negative to reproduce it) The Library of Congress has 7 of Panora Ltd's photos on file which may be viewed Panora Ltd. did many portraits similar to the one for auction but most I can find reference to are school graduations in England If you put in the effort you'll find many other examples of Panora's photos online. But I was not able to find this exact one which is labeled outside the image area "Panora Ltd., London, W.C1" and has a number which appears to have been inked on the negative so it appears as white in the lower right corner of the image "29277" (see the photo).
