This is a wonderful old paper/papier mache santa candy container - measures approx. 9" tall x 6' wide. Santa is carrying his sack which would hold the candy. T are no maker's marks so don't know origin - possibly german?? but no way to be certain. Has in pencil on underneath of bag the number 10 (possibly the price of 10cents??). Pretty nice shape for its age - little paint loss on one sleeve cuff & one boot, various scuffs all over, one side has rusty looking spots & bottom of boots have lost part of the red covering - all seen in the pics - still looks nice as a display - flaws add to its charm.
