Vintage PARAGON double warrant VALENTINE cup, saucer

PARAGON Fine Bone China cup and saucer set in the VALENTINE pattern, in excellent condition ! This lovely vintage duo has the Double Warrant "By Appointment" "England Regd" Paragon backstamp and the pattern name "Valentine" stamped underneath. The cup stands 2-3/8" tall to the tip of the handle and is 3-7/8" across (or 5" including the handle). It sits on a gold-edged foot and is richly-detailed in gold throughout, including a gold design on the top of the handle. The saucer is 5-1/2" across and is also edged in gold. The cup is in excellent condition, with minor wear to the cup's top gold edges (about 2%) and a small utensil mark in the bottom of the cup (hard to see unless you're looking for it). The saucer is in mint condition. The violet floral design looks terrific, with the deep purples and greens making a stunning contrast against the white background and gold edges. Great display set!
