A remarkably fine example of the Parker 51, believed by many collectors to be the best fountain pen ever made. The Aerometric filler system was introduced in 1948 and the arrow clip was shortened in 1951. This pen has the long arrow clip, end breather hole and no 'halo' logo, all dating it between 1948 and 1951. The pen is in beautiful condition. It is finished in Deep Burgundy and has a 'lustraloy' cap with a Chrome plated clip and a 'pearl' cap stud. The barrel is high gloss and totally unmarked and the cap and clip are in similarly pristine condition. The pen has been fully serviced and tested, every component carefully checked and thoroughly cleaned inside and out. It has been protected with Renaissance wax and has a deep glossy finish. The pen writes beautifully with a very smooth fine to medium line. This is a fine example of a great classic fountain pen, it is hard to think of a better pen as a vintage 'every day user'.Please see my other pen listings. It is very important to me that you are happy with your purchases. As I sell vintage items and, although I try my very best to be accurate with my descriptions, I will always give a full refund should I fall short of your expectations in this respect so you can .
