VINTAGE PARKER 75 VERMEIL CISELE FOUNTAIN PENSBeautiful duo Parker 75 Vermeil (14K Gold plating over Sterling Silver) ballpoint and Cisele (Crosshatch) grid Fountain Pen in their original case. These vintage pens sport the classic crosshatch square grid made of vertical and horizontal engraved lines, equally spaced to form 3,330 tiny squares. Both pens are in good condition with no dents or defects except a few surface scratches on the push piston on the ballpoint (the usual "bite" mark). The original chrome ring around and over the edge of the section just before the nib of the fountain pen has ruled lines. The nib reads Parker 14K Point U.S.A. with an F on the underside for Fine point. It also shows a slight sign of wear around the gold plated ring at the base of the cap. Both pens measure approximately 5" when capped. These two pens belonged to my grandfather who purchased them in Italy in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Included is a certificate of origin for a Parker 75 written in Italian but, based on the discrepancy between the number on the certificate and the one on the pen I cannot ascertain that it belongs to this set. These pens have come to me as an inheritance and have not been used for at least 30 years. The ballpoint pen still writes perfectly in blue ink while I am not sure if the fountain pen has ever been inked. read more
