The color is called Chinese Red Lacquer but it looks more orange. It features gold filled trim. The clip and trim have some discoloration. The cap does not screw onto the body. T are fine scratches on the body and cap. The nib appears to be intact, T are some ink stains on the body- we did not try to remove them. This is a used item. It shows wear from age, use and dirt. We are not writing instrument experts and do not know what makes this item work or if it needs repair. We can only describe cosmetic issues.
