Vintage Parlor Guitar Nice old parlor guitar, maker unknown, maybe a Lyon & Healy?? Includes original cloth end-loader soft case, handle is missing. Spruce top, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge, ebony neck heel cap. Back and sides look like rosewood, but I'm not positive. Bracing is traverse, angled from wide on the treble side to narrow on the bass side. Nice construction inside, top has remained very flat. Bound top and back. Bridge was replaced at some point. Placement is correct, intonation is excellent. It looks like this guitar had a tailpiece and floating bridge at some time in its life, t are two small screw holes above the ebony strap button w a tailpiece would have mounted. Wood inlays around edges of top face, and up back seam Body is 12 3/4" across lower bout, 9 1/8" across upper bout, 18 1/4" long Body depth tapers from 4 inches at tail to 3 1/4 inches at neck. Overall length is about 36 1/2 inches. Full scale 18 fret neck joins the body at the 12th fret. Scale length is about 24 3/8 inch. Neck is straight and action is very good, 3/32" at 12th fret on high E, 1/8" at 12th fret on low E. No cracks or breaks, no known repairs other than bridge. Finish has scratches, dings, edge wear, nothing major. I will ship it in the original case, but I would recommend a sturdier case if the guitar is going to be read more
