Hi, and thanks for looking at my auction. I am selling off some of my old patriotic eagles, so if you like eagles you may want to check out my other auctions. This one measures 25-1/4" long by 9" tall and about 3" thick at the widest point. I do not know its age, but it is not new. It is carved in the bellamy style with the eagle, sheild, and the talons in his claws. As far as we can tell, it is carved from one solid peice of wood. It was originally a white eagle with the sheild in red white and blue. But someone at some point in time repainted him in gold gilt paint. The colors below show w the gold is worn. You could probably gently scrape off the gold if you wanted, but I always thought it looked good as is. The eagle is in good condition, no chips or breaks to the wood. T is no signature on the back as to who carved the eagle. It 2 eyelets attached to the backside with picture hanging wire to hang it from. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Buyer to pay $15.00 for shipping and insurance inside the U.S.
