Vintage Pedigree Betsy doll - a small 6" doll brought out in the late 1960s to be an American friend of Sindy and Patch. Vinyl doll which is marked Hong Kong on the back of the neck. Blonde hair which is nicely styled and a red ribbon alice band which ties under her hair at the back of her neck. No damage to her fingers but her hands are slightly grubby. Painted blue eyes. She wears her original red Betsy dress with white trim. Fastens at the back with a white headed popper. The dress is in good condition. She also wears white knickers (I have lifted the dress slightly in the second picture so you can see them). Also white socks and red plastic shoes. The shoes are marked Hong Kong on the sole. The socks are clean and white - but dirty on the sole of the foot as if the shoes were once stuck on. The dirty parts do not show when she is wearing her shoes. I cannot say for sure if these other clothes are original but the shoes and socks do look like the ones on the Betsy on page 72 od Colette Mansell's Sindy book. A rare doll in good vintage condition.
