Vintage PHILCO floor console radio, 1940 - Model #40-195. My husband bought this for me from an antique radio show about 3 years ago, when I was considering collecting antique furniture. I have since decided, not to furnish my home with antiques. This radio works . We used it to listen to local sports stations. The cabinet is in good condition with minor wear from age. T are no gross gouges or pieces missing in the wood, just normal scratches and wear. T are 8 push buttons, all intact with labels with radio station letters, except for one with label missing but all buttons work. My husband had each button tuned to specific stations. T is one button labeled TV. This is a broadcast, short-wave, police radio. T are 4 large dials on the face also, for volume, tone, tuning and selecting specific band. T is original label in back with model #40-195, Code 121, 115 volts AC, 110 watts, 50-6- cycles. This is a tube radio with an antenna on the inside of rear cabinet that you adjust manually. Radio cabinet measures 38"H x 29"W x 13.5" D. The cloth on the face of cabinet has some stains and small tears which were t when he purchased it but I have a piece of replacement cloth for it. My husband intended to replace the cloth for me but became ill and never did do it. He was a ham radio operator and was good at restoring and repairing so that
