PHILCO T-50 TRANSISTOR RADI0 This creamy ivory and terracotta Philco is a real charmer. Concaved facial design, with stylish lines on sides and back. Face, sides, top, and bottom are almost scratch-free. The hinged battery lid is SUCH a nice touch. T are only a few light scratches on the backside and a deeper eyelash-shaped scuff or scar (also on back) caused by repeated pressing on the leather case snap. Comes with a glossy leather case. Note: leather case has bright gold lettering - front and back, that actually looks UNTOUCHED BY TIME. Authors: Marty & Sue Bunis (Transistor Radio, 2nd edition, (c) 1996) say this Philco contains five transistors, but I canÂ't confirm since I canÂ't figure out how to open the dang thing. DonÂ't ask me w the coin slot is Â- t isn't one. Sorry, but an interior shot of the battery compartment is as far as IÂ'll go. I canÂ't run the risk of harming this baby. Station thumbwheel, gold-finished thumbwheel button and facial lettering - ALL VERY CLEAN, however the gold vacuum-metalizing which accents the front outer edge of the radio has worn off in spots. Not real noticeable, but if youÂ're looking for perfect - sheÂ's not. Volume thumbwheel has a thin design, turns fine, but shows some grime, slight wear, and a slight wobble.
