This listing is for an old metal PHILLIPS 66 SIGN. This sign came from a local estate auction. It has a black & orange logo design and is shaped like a SHIELD. The design is on both sides. T is small text at the lower edge of the sign that reads "Veribrite Sign Chicago New York Dallas 4-49". I believe that the numbers indicate that this sign was made in 1949. This sign measures about 30" X 30". It has 2 holes for hanging (one on each side, near the center). T are partial pieces of the grommets left in the holes. This sign has many surface "chips" w it looks like someone used it for target practice. These spots are rusty. T are no holes all the way through the sign. I took several close-up images, so that you can clearly see the condition. One side is in much better shape than the other. Overall, as you can see from my pictures, this old PHILLIPS 66 sign displays very well. It could use a cleansing as it was stored in a barn for many years. I was only able to find two similar signs (which were marked with the same numbers: 4-49) that had recently sold at auction. I could not get the final sale price of one of them, but the other one sold for $1650. Signs are really not my thing, so if anyone has any input about this sign or its value, feel free to message me.
