This vintage photo album is full of 96 original photos, mostly of Ohio river boat scenes dated from about 1957-1960. A few are slightly newer appx 1963 and a couple are very early i.e. 1920-30s (cars). A few are photos of the previous owner, John W. Dale who was a WWII veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard and his certificate of eligibility from the VA is included. He was born Nov. 16, 1906. Other photos are of his dogs. There are more than what i was able to upload for this listing. Also included in the album are his PHI DELTA KAPPA card from 1920 and his UNIVERSITY of DAYTON student cards from 1926 & 1927; OHIO UNIVERSITY card from 1925. Names of boats that i can see in photos are: HERBERT E. JONES; GEO. M. VERITY; WEBER W. SEBALD; ASHLAND OIL & REFINING COMPANY; THE OHIO RIVER COMPANY; AVALON; ORCO; BELLE OF LOUISVILLEHELEN; MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BARGE LINE CO. These photos were taken from his home in Ripley, Ohio. He lived on Front Street overlooking the river.
