This is another great old pair of photos from one of my late gay uncle's photo albums. This is a pair of photos of Richard Port, a gay man who loved the great outdoors. Every year he and his best friend went on a camping trip into the wilds. They loved being together in the woods, away from prying eyes, hunting, fishing, and being openly who they were with each other. Uncle said Richard and his lover were so ahead of their time. They were comfortable with their gayness, although they kept it a deep secret from the world. Richard writes to his mother and stepfather on both photo postcards, telling them of his adventures. One photo postcard was mailed in 1912 and the other in 1913. The photo postcards each measure about 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and are in great condition. S&H: $2.50. I combine shipping on any number of photos.
