This is another great old pair of photos from one of my late gay uncle's photo albums. These are two photos of Carl and Eddie, two sailors who served on the same ship in 1921 and were so taken with each other, they formed a loving bond that lasted until Carl died in 1971. Neither man had an attraction to other men before they met. Carl told uncle that when he first saw Eddie, he just wanted to take care of the shy young man. Eddie said he didn't really like Carl all that much at first, but slowly realized the man really loved him and wasn't going away. They agreed to give this crazy new relationship a try after they left the Navy. The first photo was taken in 1921 in Newport News, Virginia when they first felt something for each other. The second photo of them was taken under a lighthouse in 1946. The men are still affectionate twenty five years later. The larger photo measures about 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and the smaller one 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. The photos are in great condition - the larger has some glue residue on the upper left corner. S&H: $2.50 I combine shipping on any number of photos.
