Vintage Pillowcases Lot 3 Madeira Embroidery & Lace

~ Beautiful White on White Embroidery ~ & Lace This is a wonderful very vintage group of 3 single pillowcases. These are from the same Austin estate as the cases with the roses I had listed recently. They are hand embroidered in a Madeira or Italian or French style of embroidery and they are all made from pillowcases tubing so no side seams. Descriptions and condition: I've laundered and pressed them and the last one is the only one with any spots which are shown in the last 2 photos. These are all cotton. 1.The case with the lovely cutwork flowers measures 23 1/2" (47) x 33 1/4" and has an embroidered scalloped decorative opening edge with embroidery also in the center above the cutwork, the bars to the cutwork are more of chains than buttonhole bars and none are broken. NO holes or spots or damage. 2.The case with the very pretty daisy style of flowers across the entire front has a scalloped edge with a crochet type of 1/2" lace which has been applied to a hem stitched edge. This one measures 20 1/2" (41) x 32". NO holes or spots or damage. 3.And last but not least, the case with the 2 very large flowers has a scalloped edge with crocheted type of 3/4" lace applied to a hem stitched edge. It measures 21 1/4"(42 1/2") x 32". This one has some discoloration at the top seam area from storage which is shown in the last 2 photos, this area lighted a lot with a pretreat and wash and may lighten even more. T are no holes or damage. These would have been expensive cases when purchased as the cotton is a high quality and the workmanship is wonderful. It's a lovely group and may have been purchased overseas as the gentleman I obtained these from was in the military and they spent lots of time abroad, he doesn't remember and as he's says he wasn't in charge of linens :) !
