Offered for your consideration is a vintage Pine Knott "Deer Hunter" stockman pocket knife. Belknap Hardware discontinued the Pine Knott brand in 1930, so this piece would be from Bluegrass Cutlery who purchased the rights to the name in the mid 1980's. The knife has never been used, carried, or sharpened and remains in near perfect condition with just a bit of old price sticker residue on the reverse of the handle. Though the knife bears a patent number from the mid 1960's, it was likely made in the mid to late 1980's. The blades are solid and tight with no wobble or play. The tangs still have original oil residue and the blades retain good snap. The master blade has a long pull. The scales appear to be of celluloid or some type of resin and are free of any cracks, chips, or hairlines. The knife measures just under 4" closed. An interesting vintage stockman!!
