Description: Excellent working order pretty good (above average for age) cosmetic condition Pioneer SA-5800 Vintage Power Amp.T are quite a few pictures so that you can see its condition - click on them for more info. Info: SA-5800 Amplifier — This was the entry level integrated amplifier, available in 1979 and 1980. It featured 25 watts per channel, low distortion, and the cool blue power meters. The controls are pretty basic, with 3 inputs (Tuner, Phono, Aux), two tape monitors, bass and treble, and a loudness switch. The SA-5800 sold for $200. Specifications: Power Output: 25 watts per channel RMS into 8 ohms. Harmonic Distortion: Less than 0.03% Description Pioneer engineers kept in mind a dynamic concept when the SA-5800 was still in the drawing board stage. The choices of circuitry and design at that stage were based on what has come to be known as our Magni-Wide policy in amplifiers. The policy does not dictate circuitry designs per se; nor does it restrict us to using tried and true circuit parts when something newer (and possibly even less costly) can be substituted without harm to musicality.
