This is a great vintage planetarium model of the sun/earth /moon rotation.........I am not sure if there was a chain along the bottom or not.......when you move the arm the earth/ moon rotate........the sun /small earth (?) do not turn........I think once the earth has rotated completely the sun is suppose to move???? I am guessing this is from the 1930's but not sure.........the sun is brass............there is rust on the base.........the earth has a small piece of paper missing/ see photo's......I have looked closely and can see no manufacturer's name.........so I have no idea who made it..........was used in a classroom.............. The arm is approx. 16" long and it is about 12 1/2" high............ If you have ay questions please email me.........thanks.
