This is a vintage Lighted, Music Box Church, COMPLETE, with CROSS and ORIGINAL BOX. The makers mark is embossed on the backside: OVERSEA HONG KONG inside a circle with a Sailboat in the center. Also it is marked T 1013 and MADE IN HONG KONG. This is RARE and HARD TO FIND in excellant working condition with NO chips, NO cracks. Even more RARE is the fact the it can be lit up by using 2 "C" size batteries inserted into the bottom battery compartment OR, by plugging in the electric cord with the bulb that is attached to a plate at the backside(see photos). The soft hue that eluminates from the church makes it a great night light,TV lamp or a very nice centerpiece.(Note: vintage electric wiring should never be left unattended). It has a very nice sounding, wind up music box that plays "Silent Night". When it is fully wound up, it plays for almost 5 minutes. This is a vintage ivory plastic church that may be made of either celluloid or bakelite. I do not know for sure. The windows are simulated stained glass. The battery compartment is clean. When inserting the batteries, the fixture that holds the tiny bulb is loose and tfore needs to be seated back into the plastic tube in order to have a good contact. I believe it may have been glued into the holder and with time, the glue has dried up. Please email me with any questions before bidding.I ship via USPS. Insurance is optional. Recommended.
