Kamakura pens is located in Kamakura, Japan with a branch in OkinawaDetailed Description Up for auction is a rather rare Platinum Honest 66 in wonderful condition. The Platinum Honest line came out in 1955 with a bulb filler. Two years later Platinum started to take cartridges very serriously and led the market in this area. Soon afterwards they engineered what they called the "World's largest ink volumn cartridge." for this Honest 66.Many colletors assume that the name Honest 60 means that the pen was released in 1960. This is not true. Platinum had a mission to become the number 1 Japanese pen maker before 1960. When this goal was not reached, in late 1959 Platinum set their sites for 1966.Both the gold filled clip and the barrel are engraved with the Platinum Honest 66 globe logo. What is really nice about this pen is the sweet 14k Fine nib. The nib has some flex to it and is ideal for calligraphy. It has a nice big ball of iridium on the tip and is a real pleasure to write with.If you have any questions at all a, please send me an email at Stay WellDr. Ron DutcherKamakura Pens Nib: Nice 14K Gold flexible fine point nib Filling System Cartridge converter.
