Most visits to the city of Delft include a factory tour of this great company. Also known as Royal Delft, these articles are recognized to be the standard against which all delftware is judged. Each piece is coded with the factory mark, item number, artist's initials, and a date code. A lovely vintage and large Polychrome Delft lidded vase by De Porceleyne Fles, dated 1970 - Octagonal form with ribbed relief. Tin glaze with a nice green tinge/hue handpainted decoration with large flowers,birds,forna all very fine and detailed.Lid is crowned with a foo dog finial . Height with lid 18” / 46 cm Circumference at widest 29” / 74 cm Vase without lid 13” / 33 cm Lid 6” / 16 cm The vase is fully marked and signed underneath In great condition , no chips or cracks to the pottery vase or lid , slight crazing to glazing in small areas – please see the many pictures .
