RARE VINTAGE SMITH PHILLIPS TOILET SET CIR 1901 Smith & Phillips China Co. was founded in 1901 by Josiah T. Smith and W.H. Phillips. The company made its home in East Liverpool, Ohio and closed in 1931 a victim of the depression. Products included semi-porcelain Dinnerware and Toilet Sets. This Very Rare "complete" (10) piece Toilet Set includes the Water Pitcher and Wash Bowl, Covered Chamber Pot (2 pieces), Covered Soap Dish with drain insert (3 pieces), Hot Water Pitcher, Brush Vessel and Mug. I'm pretty amazed that the complete set has remained intact for 100 years. I haven't seen another complete set on Ebay. Each piece is beautifully hand crafted in a white and blue semi-porcelain finish. And then decorated with beautiful gold flowers. The overall condition of this collection is Very Good The Water Pitcher is in Excellent condition and stands 11 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide at the lip. The Wash Bowl is in Excellent condition and is 16 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches deep. The Hot Water Pitcher is in Excellent condition and stands 7 3/4 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide at the lip. The Covered Soap Dish with drain insert is in Excellent condition and is 5 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall. The Brush Vessel is in Excellent condition and is 5 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide at the lip. The Chamber Pot is in Good condition and is 9 inches wide and 8 inches tall. The Pot itself is in Excellent condition but the lid has a chip on the rim as shown in the picture. The Mug is in Good condition and is 3 3/4 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide. The Mug has a break on the lip that has been repaired as shown in the picture. Other than what is listed t are no other breaks, chips or repairs on this wonderfully unique set.
