You are bidding on a Vintage SINGER portable sewing machine from an estate sale. From what I can find on the web it looks like it is a MODEL 128. I have been told by a couple of ebay'ers that this is a MODEL 99, I an unable to confirm that so check the pictures for yourself. After checking with a SINGER information website () it appears this machine was produced on November 18, 1929. Serial number AC894855. It is electric and has a stainless steel work lamp. The belt is missing, but after plugging unit in the light still WORKS, and the electric motor (which sounds smooth and quiet) works when pushing the knee lever (LEVER can be seen in the first three pictures and it locks into the wood lid cover when not in use) to the right and WITH VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL push it a little is goes slow, push it more it goes faster. The electric cord unplugs from machine and stores also in the wood cover. When large rear pulley is turned by hand it turns very smoothly. I think the finish on the machine is exceptional considering its age. The wood cover is faded and honestly does not look as shiney as the pictures, and I lost the key, but the latch was working. I do not have the manual, but I have downloaded what I believe is correct for this and will include it with the auction. My reserve is very reasonable for this machine.
