VINTAGE POST TOASTIES SUPERIOR CORN FLAKES CEREALCARDBOARD BOX STORE DISPLAY manufactured by Postum Cereal Company, Inc., BattleCreek, Michigan, U.S.A. This cardboard box measures about 8 ¾ inches high, by 6½ inches wide and 3¼ inches deep. This cardboard carton has wonderful identical graphics on both sides of the box of a lady holding a bowl of cereal in her lap next to an open fire with a tea kettle and a small black cat looking her way. The carton is EMPTY, and is a store display that has the following words on the side panel: "THIS PACKAGE IS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY. IF FILLED CONTENTS ARE SPURIOUS." It is in very good condition considering its age and has a patent date clearly labeled on the top of the carton which reads: November 23, 1915. Actual date of this card board carton is unknown. I would believe that it dates back to before or around the 1930s era. This cardboard container would make a fine addition any antique vintage collection.
