Nice Vintage Real Photo Postcard dated 1911 ..it is a two for one..featuring Pleasant St.& Manley St.. of Shinglehouse, Pa...located in Potter County...1/2 mile from the New York State Line..this one is of Honeoye Street....founded in 1806 by a French immigrant named Jaundrie... It was named after a house that was built t and sided with roofing shingles... thus the name.. it prospered early because of gas found t..t was also mining for materials to produce glass products... the population in 2003 was 1228...
