This auction is for a very interesting and unique ivory item which was purchased by the original owner in the early 1950s and stored away for many years in the original box. The item comes with the original tag which says Hang On Ivory Factory, No. 39A, Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong. The item is a pedestal with a figure at the base, and then a small column, larger column, and another column with a support for a intricately carved ball at the top. The ball at the top is a combination of approximately seven balls each individually carved and contained within each other. The item stands 10" tall and the base at the bottom is 2 1/4" wide. The ball is approximately 7 1/2" round from the top to bottom of the ball and back to the top of the ball (and the previous description said 18" which was in error and should have reflected approximately 8"), and the ball measurement for width is approximately 1.75 - 2" with the 2" being at the widest part.
