Vintage Copper/Brass "President" Fire Extinguisher, San Francisco-CA
is a very nice looking vintage copper 2 1/2 gallon fire extinguisher. It is marked in brass "The President Fire Extinguisher" and the bottom brass plate says "American Rubber Mfg. Co - San Francisco, CA." This fire extinguisher gleams brightly on the copper and brass. T is some oxidation, some light pitting, and some small dings (we believe it will polish up nicely, but we did not want to polish in case buyer prefers this vintage look). It really is in very great shape for its age/use. Hose is still attached and in very nice condition - just a little wear on the end that attaches to the upper brass knob. It measures almost 24" tall and about an 8" diameter. It is empty and clean on the inside of the can. Weighs about 16 1/2 lbs - add about 2 lbs for box/stuffing. This is really a nice piece to display with your collection - great gift for the fire memorabilia collector.
