From a collection of over 50 years of buying at Auctions, Garage Sales and Storage Units. Starting at $6.99 with NO RESERVE. You are bidding on this Vintage Primitive Dated 1844 German Wooden Beer Firkin Bucket. These were used to carry the beer back to the home. It is 13" tall to the top of the rought iron bail and 6 1/2" diameter. It is made similar to a wine barrel with reed straps that hold it all together. T are three initials stenciled on the front and it is carved in the base "1844". This is a great vintage piece in good shape as noted in the photos. Two of the reed bands are missing but otherwise it is complete. It is very fragile so I will make sure it is double box to ensure safe shipping. Rare collectable over 160 years old. Furkin.
