Up for bid is a great vintage farm tool that was used for smoothing and shaping the inside of wooden barrels, kegs, etc. It was also used for many other things by early wood workers. These are getting harder to find and are very rare. It is hand forged and has the handle but I am not sure if it is the original one but it appears to be very old as well. The height is 6 7/8" overall with a 5 1/4" handle. The length is 8 1/2" and the cutting edge is 2 7/8". The poll end is 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" and the handle extends out of head 5 1/4". If you collect vintage primitve farm tools you will surely want to add this to your collection.
