The present auction is for a lot of 4 vintage/primitive wooden crates. The crates came from my Grandmother's house in Belmont, Massachusetts. They are 70+ years old - and were found in a small crawl space in my Grandmother's basement. They were probably put t by the previous owner of the home (and tfore much older), as no one in my Father's family knew of their existence while they were living t (from the late 30's). I tried getting information online about the company names on the crates, but did not find any additional information.

The First Crate Measurements : 12 inches High, 13 3/4 inches wide, 15 5/5 inches long. The crate comes with two metal hinges that work! On one side of the crate is handwritten in black ink: "Kinney Mfg. Co., Z-3376H, 3529-3541 Washington St. Boston, Mass." When the lid is lifted off, the inside is almost new looking (see photos). One corner of the box has insect damage (see photo). T are rope handles on each side. One rope handle is broken, one intact. The lid has a black ink stamp: "The Ohio Injection Company - Wadsworth, Ohio".

The Second Crate Measurements : 17 inches wide; 12 1/2 inches High; 13 3/8 inches wide. The Crate has stamped in black ink on the sides: "Hydron Bellows From Clifford Mfg. Co. Boston, Mass." Handwritten in pencil on the side is "Kinney Mfg."

The Third Crate Measurements : 20 1/2 inches length; 10 3/4 inch wide; 13 1/2 inch high. Has paper mailing label (and parts of other paper labels on the box still attached): "From H.E. Davis, 135 Locust St., New Bedford, MA USA" - to address in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (the address is not legible as the ink has faded too much). T is nothing written on this crate, except for "12 Inch" stenciled/stamped in green ink on each side.

The Fourth Crate Measurements : 17 inches long, 12 3/4 inches High; 13 1/2 inches wide. Side of crate reads: "HYDRON BELLOWS FROM CLIFFORD MFG. CO., BOSTON, MASS." On sides is handwritten in pencil: "1 1/2 Bellows 1 1/2".

T is also a piece of wood that broke off of another box that was found in one of the other boxes (has nails still attached to sides) : 16 inches wide, 6 1/4 inches at its highest point. Handwritten in black ink on the piece is: "Kinney Manufacturing Co. , 3529-354 Washingston St. Jamaica Plains Post Office, Boston, Massachusetts"
