Vintage Blackware Pottery Sitting Cat Figurine. Its old. I was told perhaps it is a Pueblo Indian Blackware Pottery Item. Sure has a jet black finish but with a open or hollow base as this piece has it would have made it difficult at best to sign. Anyway I am not a knowledgeable San ILdefonso authority so use your judgment and knowledge and not mine before you bid. This cat is 8 3/8 inches tall. Finish is jet black. Condiition is good with no cracks or chips. Some light peeling on tail towards very bottom front. Certainly older piece of well crafted pottery and it was obtained from a very vintage estate. Starting for virtually nothing and listed with no reserve. Information regarding this item is appreciated and will be added to this listing if possible.
