MUSEUM QUALITY HIGHLY DETAILED TWO MASTED BRIGANTINE SHIP IN A BOTTLE BY MODEL ARTIST H.J. MANLEY IN 1975 PART OF A COLLECTION OF MODEL SHIPS INHERITED FROM MY COUSIN . The ship is a two masted vessel square rigged on the foremast, with fore-and-aft sails on the mainmast, The brigantine is made with two staysails set between the masts. The bottle itself measures 8" in length and four inches in height. T is a turkshead knot around the mouth of the bottle and a seal with a compass set into it. It rests on a beautiful wooden base measuring 11 inches by 5 inches with a winding rope rest. The plaque in the center reads "BRIGATINE BY H. J. MANLEY 1975" Underneath it is felt lined.
