Vintage Queen Steel stag/bone steak knife set w/box

This is a vintage set of six steak knives in a presentation quality wooden box. Each is about 9 inches long overall. They were made by Queen Cutlery Co., in Titusville, PA, USA. Individual knives of this type retail for over $40. Queen's knives are prized by collectors. The mirror-like finish in these photos is reflecting the background. They are stamped with the "Q" logo on the tang, and do not have the engraving on the blade that is usually found on the more recent versions of this knife. These are "full tang" construction knives, with a good "heft" and well balanced. The handles are made of what is called "stag bone". The box is well constructed with mortised joints and appears to be made of walnut. What looks like a pale area on the box is a lighting problem. These knives have never been through a dishwasher. They came from a home without one. They look for the most part to have seen little if any use. Only one of the knives shows signs of wear to the handle. The blades have no noticable scratches, and are quite sharp. These pieces come from a two generation estate collection. They are sold "as is". I have described any flaws I could find to the best of my ability, but cannot guarantee that I have not missed something. I have several other items for auction in addition to this one.
