Offered is a stocking made by me from an antique cutter quilt that dates to the late 1800s. The pattern of this quilt is a variation of the "Broken Star" and comes from the Cincinnati, Ohio area. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with approximately 6 stitches per inch. I love the colors........red, green and cheddar! I thought I had used up the last of this wonderful quilt, but this weekend I unpacked some more of my boxes from my move this summer...and, yippee, I found the rest of it! I have enough to make a few more! This stocking measures about 18 inches long......a nice length for holding all of Santa's goodies! It measures approximately 11 inches wide from heel to toe and about 7 1/2 inches at the top opening. I have fully lined this stocking with muslin and t are no seams showing. I have also interfaced the stocking for extra sturdiness. I have used a newer off-white quilted fabric on the back. I will be listing many more stockings in the next weeks so be sure to check back often. I did finish this stocking with a green jingle bell tied at the toe. This can easily be removed if it is not to your liking. This stocking will be signed and dated by me........and will come to you from a smoke free home. Shipping will be by USPS with insurance being optional. Payment must be received within 10 days from close of auction. Excess read more
