Fantastic stroll down memory lane with this beautiful, carefully thought out hand pieced quilt. Huge Dresden plates with solid centers, alternating solids with plains, flowers, and figures, such as trains, stripes and abstract pieces. All of the plates are outlined in black embroidery floss, for an even more dramatic look. Many of the fabrics are feedsacks on feedsack muslin. The sky blue border strips are machine sewn. The plates are hand pieced and hand sewn. T are a total of 30 plates. The quilt measures a generous 76x90. Spread out on a queen, pictured, has a nice over hang. Mint condition, save a small tan spot on the muslin of one of the plates. No holes, and absolutely no fading. The colors are simply out of this world, and the sky blue strips just accepts the rest.
