VintageRAF ‘Williamson F117A’ aerial reconnaissance camera for spares,repair or display. It features a Ross 6’’ f 4.5 lens, a removable film back, a fold up viewfinder, a carrying handle on the left hand side, a film advance lever/handle with shutter release trigger on the right hand side, an aperture selection dial at the front and a shutter speed selection dial on the left hand side. These cameras were originally used for aerial reconnaissance during the 1950s and 1960s onboard RAF aircraft (Avro Shackleton & Nimrod) conducting maritime patrols. RAF sores ref 14A/5431 (body) and 14A/5433 (film back). Body serial number 216. Film back serial number 144. Lens serial number 17231. Weight 4.6kg. Length 11''. Height 8.5''. This camera is non-working and is being offered for spares, repair or display purposes only. It has been in storage for many years and does have some paint loss and dents. Please note the following points and bid accordingly: The aperture selector is working. There is some spring tension in the advance lever, however, the shutter does not fire when the trigger is pressed (I can not see any shutter blades when I look through the front of the lens, so it appears that the shutter may have been removed).
