Vintage1960’s Raggedy Ann Doll A beautiful collectors doll!! Made by the Knickerbocker Toy Company Great vintage condition, no tears or rips, very clean doll. Not in original box, but never been used...just stored. She measures 15 ½” tall Dressed in her original blue and pink flowered dress and white apron with the original tag in tact. She even has her "I love you" heart tatoo... (See my other ads for the Raggedy Andy Doll.) NOTE: A BONUS OF "FREE SHIPPING" IF BOTH THE RAGGEDY ANN AND ANDY DOLL ARE PURCHASED A little bit of history: Knickerbocker Toy Company 1963-1982 The Knickerbocker Doll & Toy Company was founded in New York city in 1925 by Leo L. Weiss. Knickerbocker is probably best known for their Walt Disney character dolls, Raggedy Ann or Andy and the cloth Holly Hobbie dolls. Knickerbocker dolls are of good quality, made of cloth, composition and vinyl. Knickerbocker was sold to Hasbro in 1983. Raggedy Ann is a fictional character created by American writer Johnny Gruelle (1880–1938) in a series of books he wrote and illustrated for young children. Raggedy Ann is a rag doll with red yarn for hair and has a triangle nose. The character was created in 1915 as a doll, and was introduced to the public in the 1918 book Raggedy Ann Stories.
