Vintage Rain Motion Oil Lamp Light Goddess Works

This is a Vintage Rain Motion Oil Lamp. It features a Nude Goddess in the middle of a Garden Setting with Rain Falling all around her. I wanted you to see what this looks like when it is lit up and working so you have a better idea of how beautiful this lamp really is. It stands about 30" tall and is about 12" in diameter. It can be used either as a table lamp or a hanging light. All that is necessary to hang this light is to exchange the top knob with a hanging hook available at any hardware or Home Depot etc., and add some swag chain to the hook for hanging. This light works by mineral oil being pumped up to the top of the fixture and then cascading down nylon strings to the base w it is then repumped back up again. It takes a couple of minutes for this to start "raining" after being turned on, but then the results are quite spectacular. Uses a standard bulb for lighting so I also thought about changing colors of bulbs to get all kinds of other effects. I will drain and dry all the mineral oil up prior to shipping this lamp so it is "shipable". You will have to purchase new mineral oil for this and that is readily available at the same places as the hanging hooks for very little money. The oil is added by removing the three little nuts and bolts around the ring on the bottom. The last picture is the base with the light removed. It is a very simple and easy procedure. One quart should be more than enough. All the strings are intact and in excellent condition. The statue comes out of the center for shipping by simply lifting her off the mounting pin (no tools) and slipping her out from between the strings. That will protect the statue during shipment.
