This is a rare Hawaiiian treasure! I believe this dress is called a Pake Muu dress...it is of Chinese influence design, which was developed in Hawaii in the late 1940's - early 1950's. Label: Hoaloha, made & styled in HawaiiFabric: 100% Vintage RayonMeasurements: Length (top of back neck to bottom hem) - 53" / Bust - 38" / side slits - 12" / Waist - 32"Features: Has a Madarin Collar with frog closure. Side Talon zipper. Dragon Lady/Kimono type sleeves. Description: The print is of Palm trees in front of a large red sun, which is setting behind Diamond Head. Accented with beautiful Hibisicous flowers in deep dark blue and reddish orange. Just breathtaking!!!Condition: In nice vintage condition. Bright vibriant color! Structurally solid! It does have some stains and discoloration in places. T is one small hole forming at upper bodice front side (you can see from attached photos). T is a tear just starting right at the center "V" dip in front, could be easily repaired. ALL seams are perfectly solid and intact!
