Vintage Raytheon Radio Direction Finder Model RAY-DF w/ Box! Click on any picture to enlarge - Use the back button to return to listing I cannot get it to work with fresh batteries....Maybe you can get it working with an AC adapter that you supply ....This is a 5 band FM/AM radio direction finder that I believe is used by boaters. It is in excellent/near mint condition, with it's original box and Styrofoam inserts. Serial No. AF 50799. It's missing only one knob insert. It looks to have hardly been used, if ever! Looks to be of the '70s era. It is made of an avocado-colored hard plastic with a black-colored metal front and speaker area. It features a pair of carrying strap eyelets on the sides and a mountable swiveling base on the bottom with holes that look like it was made to bolt onto some surface. The front displays all 5 bands and their frequencies, and t is also a DF level meter. This multi-band DF receiver is used for AM (LF, BC & MF), FM and VHF. The output is 750mW (MAX). The freq. range for each band is as follows: LF: 180 400 KC BC: KC MF: 1.6-4.0 MC FM: 86-109 MC VHF: 146-176 MC Sorry, no instructions or schematic came with this unit. This would be a great project for the Vintage Radio restorer or collector Please ask any questions early in the a uction so I can have time to respond .... Don't forget to see my other read more
