BRAND NEW SALESMAN'S SAMPLE MIC!!! 1940 RCA SK-39A MI-12039A Aerodynamic Mic Lo-Z w/ TAG & Box. US SALES ONLY!!! DESCRIPTION: This microphone is Complete NOS and includes the original RCA TAG and Box it was shipped in. This belonged to an RCA Sales Rep up north. This microphone and some of the other RCA Microphones I have, are RCA Sample Microphones the Sales Rep. would show to RCA Distributors as new lines to carry in stock. The information slips me a bit but, it's along that line. Anyway, The fella I purchased the mics from was an RCA Distributor, as well as a close friend of the RCA Sales Rep. When the Sales Rep passed on, his wife gave these microphones to her spouse's friend. Years later, this fella advancing in age, decided to pass these microphones on and that's where I came onto them. Now, It's my turn to pass them on and in the same condition as the RCA Sales Rep. kept them: BRAND NEW! He couldn't show a beat up microphone and expect to make the sale. right? This microphone is in BRAND NEW CONDITION!!! The 20' cable (approximately) is attached to the microphone but has never had a plug. I don't see why it wouldn't function, since it's never been employed. The finish is NEW. There's no more information to provide for this microphone. Granted, it's Lo-z but, You'll NOT find one in this condition any time soon at this price!!! GUARANTEED!!! TEST: This Aerodynamic Microphone is expected to function as intended. If you're looking to buy cheap to turn a buck, this is not the auction for you but, if you're looking for a microphone to incorporate into your collection then, you may want to continue reading. The Starting Price on all the microphones is set to weed out some of those that are out to get a cheap deal on a microphone and still complain! I don't need the nuisance! I'd rather deal with Serious Buyers/Collectors that know what every microphone up for auction is all about and worth! Snooty, perhaps but, those not serious get to be somewhat tiring after a while. If you've sold, you know what I mean. Although some of the 100+ microphones I'll be listing are of the type commonly listed on eBay, most of the microphones I'll be listing are not typically sought after. Instead of collecting the prized 77, 44, 74 and other Series’ of RCA Microphones, I leaned towards the Unsung and Forgotten RCA Microphones. From some of the most insignificant, to some short lived microphones, and to some microphones that will raise your eyebrow and make you think; “I’ve not seen that before!” The reason behind this is, because even though the microphones I chose to collect do not represent RCA's Premium Microphones, these microphones do account for a big part of the RCA Microphone History. I’ve been so fortunate to have found the majority of these microphones in a “Well Cared For” Condition! Really! About 95%+ of these microphones are in the same condition I received them in and didn’t require cleaning, nor repairs, as they were previously owned by others who appreciated and knew how to care for these microphones. It’s evident! Most are in Unbelievable Operating Condition. Few require minor repair such as a new cable, and most of them are in Fabulous Cosmetic Condition.
