Vintage Red RCA Victor Small Portable Television TV This vintage television probably dates back to the 1960’s or possibly earlier. It is an RCA Victor Model 8-PT-701 and still has the original tags labels on the bottom. The serial number is B3620683. The tag on the bottom says it is 115 volts AC 60 cycles 90 watts.
This is truly a small portable television. The length is 11 ¾ inches, height is 6 ½ inches and width is 8 ½ inches. The case is a nice bright red metal. The paint is in very good condition – just a few minor scratches and scuffs and t T is a scratch on the screen, but nothing major. The television sits on four feet to allow ventilation underneath. It does have a handle for carrying and a concealed control panel with all the standard knobs of the era – off/volume button, channel changer 1-10, contrast, brightness, horizontal hold and vertical hold. I do not have an antennae to hook this up to in order to get a picture on the screen. The set will come on and produce static and light on the screen. By turning the horizontal hold, I can get some rolling lines. This came from the home of the original owner and I doubt that it has had any abuse or misuse, but without an antennae I do not have any way to determine if it actually works. Due to weight, I have listed this to calculate shipping UPS, but can send it priority if preferred.(items) Buyer pays priority mail and insurance costs. In the United States, please use the postal calculator to compute rates to your location for this item. Will send UPS on some larger items. We have an excellent shipping record!
