Item being offered is a vintage "RED TOP TAXI CAB" visor hat ... Circa 1950's-60's ... Approximate size 6 7/8 red-piped light gray crown with red, band, black visor and strap with silver buttons ... 2 1/4" diameter red felt front device features 3/8" x 1 3/4" gold wings and "RED TOP" ... red band reads: "TAXI CAB" ... Light gray seatband, blue-gray lining and crown guard ... Hat is solid, bright and colorful despite one pinhead size moth hole in front above band and moth damage on red piping ... Spotting and soiling on crown and band, but doesn't detract from overall look ... Sweatband complete but dry and cracked ... This item is from a private collection ...
