This is a lovely vintage cupand saucer in a bold red block glaze or enamelling on a white ground withgilded roses and edging. There are no maker’s marks on either piece but I believe the fluted shape is used by Royal Albert. The saucer is 5½” (14 cm) wide. The cup is 4” (10 cm) across at the rim. Both cup and saucer are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are some feint surface scratches, mainly to the middle of the saucer, as expected. The colours are bright and unrubbed and the gilding has only the very slightly signs of wear, barely noticeable. I am happy to answer any questions on this item.
