This is a nice selection of old brass religious medals, please look at the photos, I will briefly describe them. The largest medal is 1 3/8" long, the smallest is 1" long. The first one is of St George, it is rather hard to find, this is the first one I have had. The writing on it reads: "D S GEORGIUS EQUITUM- INTEMPESTATE SECIRITAS" marked France. The next, top row is " Saint Winefride- (back)- Saint Winefride V M - Holy Well". This also is unusual and HTF. The next one is the Sacred Heart with O L of Mt Carmel on the back, It has wings on the top front, I wondered if it may have been for the Air Forces? Next is the smallest medal, it has: "St Christopher, the Miraculous medal and the Sacred Heart" on the front, the back says "St Christopher Pray for us". The right end medal is a nice four way with a crucifix in the center, the back shows some wear-lots of prayers! In the lower row, the first and second are 4-way medals, the first one shows a little wear. The last one has 'Creed' on the back, I do not know the scene, although I should! This lot would make a great addition to your collection! Please look closely at my photos for your best information. I do not attempt to clean any vintage items, I leave that to the new owners, who may like the years of patina!! All items are in used, vintage, as described and 'as is' condition. This read more
